Congressman-elect Phil Hare (D-IL) today announced his choices for a number of senior staff positions in both his Washington DC and district offices.
Dennis King, who served as Congressman Lane Evans' (D-IL) chief of staff throughout his entire tenure in the House, and Eda Robinson, who was Evans' office manager for over 20 years, will both join Hare's staff in their same roles.
Hare has tapped Tim Schlittner, a graduate of Syracuse University with degrees in broadcast journalism and political science, to be his communications director.
Most recently, Schlittner worked in the press office of Congressman Steny Hoyer (D-MD), the Majority Leader-elect. Prior to that, he served as deputy press secretary for Congresswoman Jane Harman (D-CA).
University of Oregon graduate Janna Bergquist, who has served as a legislative assistant to Evans since 2005, has been hired as Hare's legislative director.
Pat O'Brien, who worked full time as the Field Director on Hare's successful Congressional campaign, will serve as District Director. The Western Illinois University graduate has lived in Moline for over 27 years, including 2 terms as Alderman for Ward 2. He is also a member of the Laborers Union Local 309.
Andrew Rowe, a Rock Island native with an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Iowa, has been named Economic Development Director. He is currently the Director of Community Rehab for Trinity Regional Health System and has been employed there since 1995.

"I am absolutely committed to being a dedicated, thoughtful Member of Congress that is responsive to the needs of my constituents. This fine group of professionals will help me achieve that goal."
King, Robinson, Schlittner, and Bergquist will work in DC. O'Brien and Rowe will work in Illinois.
