Rock Island, IL.—Phil Hare, the Democratic candidate for Congress in the 17^th District, will continue campaigning in the Quad Cities area on Monday.  Among Hare's many campaign stops will be a return visit to Seaford Clothing Factory.  Hare worked at Seaford for 13 years.  During that time he became a union steward and met then Congressional candidate Lane Evans.  Hare went on to become Congressman Evans' District Director, leaving Seaford to work as a steward for the people of 17^th District.

CANDIDATE TO VISIT WITH VOTERS IN KNOXVILLE,

MONMOUTH, MACOMB

Rock Island, IL.—Phil Hare, the Democratic candidate for Congress in the 17^th District, will visit with voters during campaign events Friday in Knoxville, Monmouth and Macomb.  

"The best part of this campaign is getting to meet directly with voters in every part of the 17^th District," said Hare.  "I am not taking a single vote or a single town for granted, and I am enjoying the opportunity to visit with members of the community."

Rock Island, IL.—Phil Hare, the Democratic candidate for Congress in the 17^th District will formally receive two major endorsements on Wednesday.  The Alliance for Retired Americans (ARA), a national organization representing 3 million retires (over 200,000 in Illinois) has endorsed Hare because of his stand on issues concerning older Americans.

Rock Island, IL.—Phil Hare, the Democratic candidate for Congress in the 17^th District , will be in Decatur on Tuesday to continue reaching out to voters in the lead up to Election Day on November 7.  Hare has been campaigning in Decatur regularly and has made continued visits to Decatur a top priority for his campaign.

TO CONVENE PRESS CONFERENCE, MEET VOTERS, VETERANS IN STERLING ROCK FALLS

Phil Hare, the Democratic candidate for Congress in the 17^th District will be in Sterling Rock Falls on Monday.  Hare will be meeting with voters at local restaurants in the early morning. He will then meet with voters and veterans at the VFW hall in a public forum, which will be followed by a press conference with Hare and members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).

Rock Island, IL.—Phil Hare, Democratic candidate for Congress in the 17^th District, will convene a town hall meeting in Aledo on Monday. The public meeting is an opportunity for voters to meet with Hare in advance of the November 7^th election, ask questions on the issues, and here where Hare stands.  For the first time in 25 years the 17^th District will have a new representative in January.  Hare served as District Director to Congressman Lane Evans for over 23 years.

Rock Island, IL.—Phil Hare, the Democratic candidate for Congress in the 17^th District will be joined by Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey (D-CA) as he meets with local Illinois Education Association (IEA) members in Moline to discuss education issues.  Woolsey is the top Democrat on the House Education Reform Subcommittee and will likely be its Chairwoman if the Democrats win a majority in the House on Nov. 7.  The IEA has endorsed Hare's candidacy.  Hare, Congresswoman Woolsey and local IEA (NEA) members (teachers) will discuss education priorities for our area in Congress.  The meeting will be open to the press.
